Eugene Billings ill for a long time. Was Son of Late Shadrack Billings, St. Thomas Merchant.
Eugene Billings passed away early Thursday morning at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. T. Cresswell (formerly Mrs. Bert Billings), 17 Jackson street. He was the son of the late Shadrack Billlings, flour and feed merchant, and the brother of the late Bandmaster Bert Billings. Mr. Billings was in his sixtieth year, and passed away after a long illness. Surviving Mr. Billings are his sister-in-law, Mrs. Cresswell; a niece, Miss Lora billings; nephew Clare Billings of Ray, Arizona; and two aunts, Mrs. Charles Rowley, Elizabeth street, and Mrs. Ethan Millington, of Los Angeles. Mr. Billings was a charter member of the Canadian Order of Foresters.
The funeral will take place from C.A. Towers and Son's funeral chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m. with interment in the St.Thomas cemetery. Rev. Mr. Garrod, of Aylmer will have charge of the service.
